An Unhappy Valentines Day

Yes I know it's late.

Oh I don't like Valentines day, it always brings sad memories of being rejected and keeps reminding me that I don't have a date. To quote Charlie Brown; "We already know nobody likes me, WHY DO WE NEED VALENTINES DAY TO EMPHASIZE IT!"

That's why I could always relate with Charlie Brown, he represents the part of us who always wants to win but probably loses.

I made sure to get as close to the Schulz style as I could for this pic. I still can't quite nail it, but I've gotten to the point where I can draw Snoopy and Charlie Brown pretty good.

Triva: After the special "Be my Valentine Charlie Brown" aired, kids nationwide sent Valentines to Charlie Brown (adressed to the United Feature Syndicate, the TV station and the studio), out of sympathy. A similar thing happened earlier after the Special "It's the Great Pumkin Charlie Brown" aired, where boxes and bags of candy came from all over the world sent especially for Charlie Brown.
